Aramid is one of the most heat and tear resistant materials in the world. It is woven from fibers of light carbon origin. It is a material whose tear and heat resistance strength is better than the same amount of steel. It is often used in industries where high protection performance is required, such as heavy industry, military equipment or extreme sports.
The worst surprise for riders is drift. During this time, the temperature which can rise above 400°C can cause severe damage to our body. After motorcycle accidents, lot’s of damage to our body can be healed and in a while it can reach its former condition. Unfortunately, the burn is not like that. The burning area cannot be recovered, it can only be transplanted from the butt. The heat generated, when we drift at a speed of 70 km/h, melts an ordinary fabric in less than 2 seconds. Since our drift time at this speed is 4~10 seconds, think about what could happen.
We reinforce the friction zones of our products with German-made Hakanit® Aramid fabric. Thanks to this fabric, our products are highly resistant to heat and tear. Aramid Hakanit® is technically very high-end material, since it consists of steel fibers, it can cause irritation or smell on direct skin contact. That’s why we get the highest level of comfort by covering this material with cotton or mesh lining.
